Linkage to Care
In our efforts to advocate for the health and safety of people who use drugs, we developed our Linkage to Care Line. People who use drugs often face discrimination and stigmatization from medical and other service providers. We have compiled a directory of as many non-judgemental and harm reduction based service providers as we were able to find. We are constantly looking for more resources and would love to hear about it if you have had a particularly good (or negative) experience with a service provider.

Someone from SHRS will respond to your message and work with you to find a resource/service that feels like a good fit. We can make a referral to the resource, answer questions, and help make appointments.
This line is checked Monday through Friday; please allow for a day or two for a response. This line is not a medical emergency helpline, nor can we diagnose/treat medical conditions. If you are having a medical emergency please call EMS (911) immediately.
Hotlines
Never Use Alone
If you are using alone, you can call the “Never Use Alone” hotline at 877-696-1996
When you call, “you will be asked for your location, about any allergies, or medical conditions. An operator will then stay on the line with you while you use. If you do not respond after a set amount of time after you’ve used, the operator will notify emergency services of your location, allergies/conditions, and possible overdose.”
